About Us

Wisconsin Healthy Shelves is dedicated to employers, faith communities, schools, community leaders, and individuals who support local food pantries.

HealthyShelves.org  content is  developed through a partnership of Mount Mary University Dietetics Department, Waukesha County UW-Extension FoodWIse program and the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.

Healthy Shelves recipes have been developed by Mount Mary University dietetic students and taste-approved by clients in southeastern Wisconsin food pantries. Students received coaching from local chefs during recipe development. Healthy Shelves recipes utilize ingredients on the Healthy Shelves Food Drive Shopping List and are heart and diabetes-friendly. Recipes contain no more than nine ingredients and require no special equipment beyond a stove, oven, or crockpot.
